Visual Communication and Culture Meaning

Meaning of Visual Communication as the name suggests is communication through visual aid and is describe as the conveyance of idea and information in forms that can be read or looked upon. Visual Communication in part or whole relies on vision, and is primarily presented or expressed with two dimensional image, it includes: signs, typography, drawing design, illustration, color and electronic resources.
Definition visual communication is the conveyance of ideas and information in forms that can be read or viewed. This includes in Graphic Design, Illustration and animation.
Based on my understanding, a good visual communication is based on meaning comprehension by the audience, not on personal aesthetic or artistic preference which is there are not judge a good visual communication based on beauty and ugliness. Visual Communication is the methods that graphic designers have to use in their professional practice. Visual Communication also take an important place on the World Wide Web. Visual Communication include visual symbol and communication the two basic concept of visual symbol just as its name implies is refers to the human visual organ, eyes can see can represent things must be the symbol. Its is to point to information the sender to the receiver using symbol information process. Also may be between individual communication, such as all the creatures, between people  and nature people  and environment and body of information communication.
Quick communication is possible. The use of pictures and symbols is very easy for a fast communication. The receiver gets the idea fast. Visual communication does not any further explanation for the receiver or by the sender. Visual communication is discussed as; the cost of going visual communication is very high. There should be a high consumption of time and needs experts to be appointed. Preparation of visual communication objects take lot of hard work and dedication. Visual media alone is inefficient. It is done with the help of other media such as audio, computer based media. 
Culture refers to the cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings, religion notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concepts of the universe, and material objects and possessions acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and group striving. The system of knowledge shared by a relatively large group of people. Its broadest sense is cultivated behavior; that is the totality of a person’s learned, accumulated experience which is socially transmitted, or more briefly, behavior though social learning. Culture is symbolic communication. Some of its symbols includes a group’s skills, knowledge attitudes, values and motives. The meanings of the symbols are learned and deliberately perpetuated in a society through its institutions.
Understanding the different meanings and types of culture is important. When think about different examples of culture, it helps to give a better understanding of the world around and of the ideas, beliefs and value that experience every day.

Component 1 (Mehndi / Henna)

                                              


Today mehndi designs have become more fashionable trend across the world. Even from children to older women likes to decorate and color their hands with mehndi. In modern world, even the mehndi artist also like to use trendy and simple fashionable designs to fulfill the hands and make the hands more beautiful. Mehndi or Henna is derived from the Sanskrit word Mendhika. The use of mehandi is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books. Practice mainly in India. Mehndi  also knew as henna in the western world is the application of as temporary form of skin decoration, popularized by Pakistani, Bangladesh and the Maldives as well as by expatriate communities from those countries also use mehndi. It typically applied during Hindu festival many women have Henna applied to their hands and feet as show on figure 1. It is usually drawn on the palms feet, where the design will be clearest due to contrast with the lighter skin on these surfaces, which naturally contain less of the pigment melanin. It’s was originally used as a form of decoration mainly for Hindu brides.
Henna have an interesting and colorful past. There is much to know and learn about the origin and history of mehndi and henna body tattoos. Henna and mehndi have been used for 5000 years and are still decorating our hand and foot todays. The most common association with henna is it’s use within the Indian culture used as a ceremonial art from for wedding ceremonies. Some of the oldest and most widespread henna applications are those for fingernails. Fingernails consist of keratin, the same protein material as skin and hair, so henna stains fingernails in the same way as it does skin or hair. Henna strengthens fingernails and cuticles by binding to them keratin stands.
The design is very apt for wedding and for the modern bride. The design is kept quite minimal and uses predominantly floral motifs. Also there is quite a lot of use of sparkle and golden glitter from the glitter tube. The design is further enhanced using beads and stones in contrasting shades. In the modern world, people prefer to be modern and they don’t want to follow olden style. Everyone wants to get some new. Mostly the colors are red, blue, green.
